On 16th April, the last day of Thingyan festival, Daw Aung San Suu Kyi distributed moteloneyeibaw (Burmese traditional Thingyan snack) to Thingyan revellers, twice in the day; in the morning and in the afternoon, which made a traffic jam as a lot of cars made a queue to receive the snack. Revellers hailed her as 'A may Suu' (mother Suu) or 'Our mother Suu'. They also greeted her by handshaking. She distributed a box of moteloneyeibaw to each car totaling 600 boxes. No harassment was reported.
