NLD Chairperson Daw Aung San Suu Kyi' Campaign Trip to Kalaw, Aung Ban and Heho



On 1st March, 2012, NLD chair Daw Aung San Suu Kyi arrived at Heho in Southern Shan State in the morning by flight. At the airport, she was welcome by Pa-O and Shan nationals, NLD candidate Daw Khin Moe Win, a well-known actor Ye Tite, NLD members from Shan State and ordinary people. Then she continued her trip to Aung Ban and arrived there at 9:45 a.m. and started her public campaign speech at 10 a.m. About 3000 people attended the public assembly. After the speech, she continued her trip to Kalaw and on the way people welcome and greeted her waving NLD flags and shouting 'long live Aung San Suu Kyi' from both sides of the road.

At Kalaw NLD's office, she met with Dagon Taryar who is a well-known writer and poet since the independence struggle. She made a public speech at noon. She went back to Heho after the speech. On the way back to Heho, people also hailed her again from road sides. At her public speech in Heho, about 100,000 people attended the assembly. She also took some questions of people. She left Heho at 4 p.m. for Rangoon.







NLD Chairperson's Campaign Trip to Thonegwa




NLD Chairperson Daw Aung San Suu Kyi together with NLD patron U Tin Oo, NLD candidate for Thonegwa Daw Suu Suu Lwin made a campaign trip on 26th February 2012 to Thonegwa Township and arrived there at 2 p.m. People welcome Daw Aung San Suu Kyi on the way to Thonegwa from both sides of the road with placards. The team arrived at the place where her public speech took place at 6 p.m. Daw Aung San Suu Kyi made a public speech for about 20 minutes.

 

NLD Office in Thayet Opened



A ceremony to open the NLD's Thayet office and its signboard was held at the office of NLD in Thayet Township. After the opening of NLD signboard, letter from NLD patron U Tin Oo was read out and Ko Ar Kar Bo read out 88 Generation Students' Group. Then U Kyi Win from NLD Legal Aid and U Aung Myint (a) Pyapon Ni Lone Oo, Magwe Region Election Campaign manager Daw Khin Saw Htay and 88 generation students' leader Ko Ko Gyi made some speeches to the public. About 3000 people from Aung Lan, Mindon, Kamma, Magwe, Yenanchaung and Rangoon attended the ceremony.

NLD Taungdwingyi Township Office Opened


NLD office in Taungdwingyi Township, Mandalay Region was opened at 9:25 on 20th February, 2012 at the office of NLD in Taungdwingyi. NLD patron U Win Tin, Daw Phyu Phyu Thin, NLD candidate for Amyothar Hluttaw U Aung Kyi Nyunt, poet Nyein Thet and poet Tin Win arrived at Taungdwingyi on 20th February. On the way, they were warmly welcome and ushered by people from roadsides with traditional music and dance. U Win Tin made a public speech to people. Then, Daw Phyu Phyu Thin and Amyothar Hluttaw candidate U Aung Kyi Nyunt made election campaign speeches. People from Yenanchaung, Myothit, Natmauk and Magwe attended the opening ceremony.

NLD Chairperson Daw Aung San Suu Kyi's Campaign Trip to Kaw Hmu

On 21st February, 2012, NLD Chairperson Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and her team left for Kaw Hmu again for election campaign at 7:00 a.m. and arrived at Parahita Gayhar (Youth Centre) in Phayargyi village and greeted children. Then the team visited Aungzabu monastic school and offered some donations to monks and donated books and stationery to children. The team left the school at 9:15 a.m. for Yatana Mandine monastery and offered some donations to monks. Daw Aung San Suu Kyi made a speech to the public there about freedom, justice, development and education.Tens of thousands of people attended her public speech.

At 10:45 a.m., she left for Natsingone village and made a brief speech for greeting. At 12:20 p.m, the team arrived at Htanmanaing village and greeted people there. At 12:50 p.m., the team arrived at Warbalaukthauk village and took a break at Khartawhmi monastery for lunch. At 1:55 p.m., she made a public speech to a hundred thousand people. Then at 2:15 p.m., the team went back home and arrived back at her residence at 4:30 p.m.
