Second day of meeting with youths
On 29th June, 2011, the second day of the meeting with Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and youth representatives was continued at the headquarters of NLD.
About 297 people including mostly youths from Karen, Mon, Rakhine States and Tanintharyi, Pegu, Irrawaddy and Rangoon Divisions, NLD Central Executive Committee members, youth members from the headquarters attended the meeting.
The meeting was chaired by Vice Chairman U Tin Oo and mastered by Ko Aung Soe. Following the opening speech of U Tin Oo, Daw Aung San Suu Kyi made some opening remarks.
Then in the morning session, youth representatives from Karen, Mon, Rakhine Sates and Taninthairi, Pegu and Irrawaddy Divisions discussed about political, socio-economic situation including drug problems, local gambling problems, human trafficking, educational matters and armed conflicts in ethnic areas.
In the afternoon session, youth representatives from Rangoon divisions continued the discussions. Then Daw Aung San Suu Kyi responded the discussions, questions and suggestions of the youth members.
